Thank God for old Olivia. What a saving grace to this story.

Idk if I still love Stephen King. I convinced myself as a child he was 1 of the greatest writers of all time. & I understand artists must tell of the times. But idk man I don’t think I’m enjoying all this covid, Tr*mp, police-murdering-Black-people talk, & more. Like I get this is a snapshot of 2020, but the way SK is twisting the dagger in my heart. Ugh. Am I wrong to be upset w/ him if he didn’t put it there?

I am frustrated with these old racist homophobic white people. Honestly. I do not like Em. I do not like Roddy. They are not charming. I feel absolutely nothing for them. Just as they felt nothing for “the vegan.”
