After a month of suffering through a French novel for the sake of improving my French, I am finally BACK to reading non-stop. And this novel was such a great choice to pick right after. I have so many thoughts about this, it's unbearable. This is exactly what I want from modern literature. The first half, anyway. I started the second, and it's painful and important and miserable and needed, but resonates a lot less.
