I think I'm going to dnf. There was one promising and scary scene so far, but this has mostly been about a guy who's supposed to be on a pilgrimage to scatter his wife's ashes, who's instead spent the whole time mooning over the first young woman he's met on the journey. Ick.

I'm sorry you're not liking this book, Adrienne. The part you mention is only a small part of the story, but it plays a significant part in the overall story. Oh well, on to the next.😊

I am going to give it a few more chapters, at least 🤞. I did really like the scene with the figure in the corn.
Good luck with that, Adrienne. I guess I connected with this book, being that I'm a former backpacker. 😊
