"Go tell families with silverware and cars / What's the use of all that noise and money?" Now listen, I don't speak a lick of Chinese so I'm hardly an expert in translating ancient Chinese poetry, but I'm pretty sure mentioning cars (not carriages, CARS) in a tang dynasty poem is not really suitable?? I was already skeptical of this collection due to Ezra Pound's inclusion but this can't be for real, can it?

"I am too pretty to bother with an eyebrow pencil" (Zhao Luan-luan) People are getting the wrong ancient Chinese poems tattooed, for real. This is some deep shit 😭
