It’s just insane to me that the structure of the narrative is like:

- random facts about life at sea
- random facts about whales
- my buddy got sick and then decided not to be sick antmore
- life at sea
- so my boss has sworn an unholy blood oath with three of my colleagues
- more facts about life at sea

Ishmael going on and on about how whales can never go extinct… not depressing at all 🌚

Okay some absolute bangers in this section, some of my favorites without context:

- Stubb’s EPIC PRANK on some FRENCH FOOLS 🤪
- Pip meeting God at work
- Ahab being completely unfazed by meeting another captain who, unlike him, has apparently touched grass

But most of all:
- Squeezing sperm with the boys
