This book is confusiiiiiing. I know like nothing and he keeps saying shit. I’ve heard that it all comes together so I’m waiting for that, and besides all of the confusion I do still really like it. The atmosphere and characters are the highlights, for now the prose is intriguing but zigzags a little too much.

Still challenging but I am growing more and more to love his prose. Erikson just feels like he aura farms every other line, with either badass, depressing, cosmic, or personal lines. It’s what keeps me going, along with just keeping up with the various character motivations and alliances. This book really does feel like a puzzle and when the pieces snap into place, it feels great.

Yeah man I mean aside from all the confusing as fuck things I really like it. Very much enjoying Erikson’s prose and stepping into this world of death and decay feels very cool. I don’t know if he will ever let up in the presentation, so I’m not sure if I will get exhausted of it or just keep enjoying it, but we’ll see

Enjoying this a lot more than I thought I would. I love the vibe and the prose itself is intriguing and descriptive. Can’t wait to read more.

Little pre-reading thoughts. I have glanced at the first couple sentences. I am intimidated, I have a feeling I will be understanding this book very badly. I want to enjoy it regardless though.
