I arguably liked this book more than the first one. It kept me on my toes and genuinely wanting to read more. It was a nice change of scenery although placing it in the woods did make it seem less plausible because no kids no matter how special they are know how to survive in the woods. However, the plot line was easy to follow and the twists and turns and flashbacks were used much better in this book.
