Surely I must be past the 50% point. Maybe even 75. Aw, 36, really? Will I be reading this book until the end of time? I’ve transitioned into spite reading. Going to finish it out of spite. 3rd person omniscient narrator has the effect of making everyone seem like smug little shits.

Pages and pages and pages of "this happened then this happened and this happened." Dialogue is rare. Is anything going to happen in this book? I know how everyone thinks about everything. There might have been a plot but it was "this then this then this" for a chapter. It's gone now. This book endures.
