This was great. the romance doesn’t enter the picture until about 70% in and that’s when the real central conflict is introduced. His deception is something that he also needs to change his opinions on. He sees it as necessary at first and feels that it’s reason they cannot be together. Overall I started thinking this was 4 star then realized I think this is a 5 star read. I think this perfect for readers who books with very Austen -esque questions and ofc romance readers. Another hit from Soliz. And while I didn’t love Nora’s personality in her letters I did like her throughout the book. The friend group for sure. If you like the friends of Nisha Sharma’s Shakespeare series you’ll love this group.

choices. And from then on the building toward a relationship is wonderful. One thing I think is super interesting is that I actually didn’t love Nora’s personality in her letters but her personality and her hopes is something makes the character and did come to make me root for her. I think Nora is someone I related to tremendously —in her wants to make the best of her opportunity and desire for. true relationships.

Hard premise. Can you fall in love with a person when you are so indebted to them? This potential romance is rife with conflicts of interest and power differentials. Very Austen which I love. And to the books credit it is handling this head on. Having a mysterious benefactor who you don't know who then pops up in person.
