OK, we get DEFINITE attraction between the two (well, one-sided) about 2/3rds of the way through the book. I still doubt we'll get a kiss in this book, but the glimpses of something more are enough.
Also, I NEED to know who's behind trying to frame the nobles. and is it connected to the events at the very beginning of the book? 50%-75% was decidedly more exciting than the rest of the book.

This is probably the slowest of slow-burns I've ever read. I don't know if they will every even have a "moment," let alone get together. Am I ready to accept that? Seregil and Alec definitely aren't asexual, so...

How DARE this book make me tear up on the literal first paragraph of the first chapter! Alec is already my baby. No others will do!
I finally got the chance to do immersion reading with this book. So far, so good! I was so scared for a second that the voice actor was going to sing as Seregil. My breath actually came out as a WHOOSH when I realized he was just going to speak the songs and not actually sing them.
