Aha, so Remi was the only girl with personality instead of her only aspiration being to bag some manly man and winning a blue ribbon for her pie (which like power to anyone who can be happy with that) and that's why he wanted her. Makes sense.

It's great when side characters know exactly the right questions to ask, as if someone handed them a script or something. It really makes the conversation so natural and realistic, not just a plot point to nudge your character in the right direction.

Ah, of course, a man is upset about something and since conversation (about feelings, yuck!) is out of the question, kissing and sex is the solution. What else is a man to do, right??

Oh, goodie, he's finally going to talk to his emotional support human (also known as a woman) who will be able to translate his encounter and explain why he's a jerk! It's always nice to see females in gay romance. They really do make the world go round.
