Crying over a soldier I didn't even know. Why did I have to watch him die??? Whyyyyyyy?? T_T

Seregil's sexual orientation is confusing. There's times in this book where he seems like he doesn't like women much in a romantic sense (Alec even notices), and then there's others where he seems like a horndog.

Every woman he HAS slept with seems like part of a mutual exchange of services (the women - sex, Seregil - info/access), and some of those women he just happens to be fond of.

I genuinely doubt he's bi.

Not Alec FINALLY discovering he has less than platonic feelings for Seregil and then immediately going to a brothel and screwing a sex worker that looks just like him.

I was kicking my feet and squealing earlier, but I think I forgot these two are MEN. They're going to spend their time fucking ~around~ their feelings instead of into them.

Ok, this book is already exponentially more gay than the first, and I'm only 25% done.

That said, Seregil has also had sex with 4-6 women (the number is fuzzy for ~reasons) in a chapter, and unless Nysander thought to set our man up with magical prophylactics, there's going to be at least one mini-Seregil running around out there in 9 months.

Oh, and Alec got magic-roofied into losing his virginity.
