His stomach was torn open and steam was coming out of it.”

So Richard is getting poutey because his friends haven’t come to see him/aren’t answering his calls, and Bunny starts and stops cryptically venting about the sitch and -‘The uncomfortable assumption had begun to dawn on me that maybe this was all some sex-related thing I was better off not knowing.’

I MEAN- he’s not wrong tho when you think about it 😂

BUNNY! He’s such a rank and comfortable icon that I actually feel more pity for him than irritation.

‘It had the quality of a memory; there it was, before my eyes, and yet too beautiful to believe.’ Sometimes I do think I’m living in the happy flashback chapters, as though my life is a collection of golden memories, not reality, that I am simply remembering and not actually living.

Yum. The immersive aesthetic and relatable autumnal vibes of this book make reading it feel like drinking a really silky hot chocolate.
