I want to start the series but I am kinda in a reading slump . Is this therefore more plot centered or character driven? The description reads like high fantasy, so I don’t know if it is the right time reading it

@arjin it's extremely character driven, hence why it's often also called slow paced - i would agree with that assessment but personally i never got bored reading any book in this world! idk if it's the best for when you're in a slump though, especially with how long each book is. maybe give book one a chance and see if you get hooked easily? i read the first trilogy back in jan-feb and got super invested in fitz's journey - i just had to make a promise to myself to finish all the other series in the RotE world too lol(the first trilogy starts with Assassin's Apprentice btw! the order goes like this: farseer trilogy -> liveship traders -> tawny man -> rain wild quartet -> fitz and the fool)
I started one of the books in this universe but it was the first book in the last trilogy. I will start Assassin's apprentice at some point.

(the liveship traders is also a good starting point tbh, since they follow a completely new cast of characters, but i have a special sort of fondness reserved for the first trilogy lol)
