her purpose is to find a husband for forever, she declares? please. if I was single and then had to figure out my relationship/history with a stranger, this would be straight hell. and I wouldn't be slow to figure this out, if she ever does.

This reads horror to me. I'm sorry, this is my nightmare. The writing very concerned with giving the reader the rules rather than really getting to know our protagonist Lauren much.
