Reading a chapter per month like this is proving to be lovely. Like receiving a cozy letter from a friend and settling down to savor its seasonal newsiness.

I'm planning on this being a year-long read for me. This month I'm reading the foreward, then in January I'll read the January chapter and follow along with a chapter each month throughout 2025. Gladys Taber's seasonal writing is so special. I'm looking forward to spending a New England year with her.
