I would have ended it a little differently. A whimper ending.

It's all about perspective. Learning about earth from the perspective of an alien (or an ant or a ... anything else) is enlightening.

This is an excellent book. This far it's been the Geography book that I never read; the one that I should have done my O Level from but never did. I suspect there might be other tricks coming up too
