when I started reading this I noticed that the authors need and will to set aside ego is entirely based on desire. Not does he want to rid himself of ego for the sake of peace or to prioritize others, but rather to be externally successful or for greater monetary gain (which in my opinion, is a bit egotistical because the goal is power and material accomplishment). Hopefully this changes?
