I know I read the words, so far the father of the three girls, Ellinor, Marianne and Margret, as died and his oldest son John has gotten all the money and the sisters are now financially dependent on him. But his wife Fanny doesn’t want them to have any money, because she want her son to be stable financially. And Ellinor is on the way to get married to Fannys brother Edward.
