Just got a recommendation for a book I tried reading years ago and never got past the second page because it was so dull. I wish we could thumb up or thumb down these suggestions. Usually, the recommendations are at least interesting, even for books I've already read but don't have in my GR Books.

You can like them or choose to ignore them. That's like people suggesting me volumes in the middle of a series : )

And yeah, a lot of the books recommended have been in the middle of a series.
Oh I see. I generally don't recommend things because I feel like people have their own interests. I don't ignore recommendations, but one has to know my likes pretty well to recommend accurately.
I don't like recommending things, either. I figure people who follow me or are GR friends with me will see my reviews and can decide from that if they want to read something.
