Retrying after 3 years of hiatus. So far, further than last time...

The first short story was cute. It had an entertaining premise, and with the exception of a few words that felt intentionally thrown in as some form of testament to Self's intellect, was quite well written. Dry and witty. I feel the plot could have developed a bit further though.
