Compelling points pertaining to the Trinity; much of the emphasis was on the two forms of Christ - the human and the divine; for as human, he is subordinate to the Father, because he is limited by his carnal abilities, whilst in his divine form, his pre-incarnate Glory, he is equal to the Father and both are united as God.
Overall, the points were great, easy to follow, but roughly written. Augustine wasn't St. John

I thought the first book of the text is excellent but my primary issue with it is that Augustine isn't a great writer and he can sometimes repeat himself and the ideas he's putting forth.
Personally, the first book alone should suffice. I think, for now, I'll stop reading it and return to a later date if I'm feeling daring enough.
