This is very anticlimactic.

How am I getting close to the end of BOOK THREE and David is STILL this insufferable with zero character development.

I think I've realised why I hate the Stevie-David relationship (aside from the fact that David is a deeply unpleasant character). It's because there's such a power imbalance. It's not like David is an asshole but Stevie is able to keep up with him - it's always David being a step ahead and Stevie stumbling behind and letting herself be pushed around like a marionette. I don't like that.

I appreciate the explanation why David acts the way he does, but I still can't stand him.

I really want to like David, because he has good ideas, but the moment he opens his mouth I instantly remember why I don't.

Liking it so far, but that may also be because David's not in it yet lmao.
