Am I the only one who keeps almost liking my own reviews? Why is the like button available to me? I keep seeing someone rated a book I like, so I go to like it, and it's my own damn rating. I don't remember the old GR's page having this.

Geo (rain) Now that you mention it, I think it's funny (and a bit weird) that we can like our own reviews, haha. :)

Amy Just go ahead and like it and it won't pop up again. I promise we'll only think you're a little narcissistic.

Jem So, does it count? ;) Seriously, that's a big programming fail. And it's hard to avoid on mobile. I've had to check myself several times already.

Geo (rain) Or it could be intentional. For instance, if you don't have any 'likes' and that makes you sad, you can 'like' it and then won't feel so bad about it!

Or maybe what you wrote is really that amazing that you feel it deserves a 'like' from yourself (a self high five?), haha.

Jem Haha. I love your feel good explanation, Rain. Maybe the GR peeps want to be different from Amazon, which has always pointedly *reminded* us that we can't vote on our own reviews. Come to think of it, GR has always championed the 'love thyself' ethos, and even lets authors rate their own books as 5 stars without any repercussions. So maybe it's only fair we get to like our own reviews... :)

Lex Kent Thank you guys. I'm glad I'm not the only one. So when I do like my own review, by accident of course cough I won't feel so bad:)
