If Tolstoy knew about asexuality… would The Kreutzer Sonata have been written? A lot would have been different, namely his relationship with Sophie would not exist or would have been kept in secret. If his political philosophy regarding sex is that it’s repugnant due to the inevitable inequality reached between men and women… then Is his issue humanitarian or patriarchal? Or neither or both or more?

I really enjoyed the preface as well as the foreword by Ariel levy. Gave great history and insight on Dworkin, which I would not have known otherwise.
