I swear Gandalf has got to be the most insufferable person to be around. He gives big trickster energy which I should love but it never hits me the right way I just hate this guy lmao (it’s entertaining to read don’t get me wrong but if I had to hang out with him I would be like wtf is wrong w/ you man)

Bilbo constantly imagining being home and forgetting that he’s out on adventure bc he misses his hobbit hole and waking up thinking he needs to check the time and put the kettle on is so relatable

Coming to the first big difference between the book and the movie in the chapter Fra Asken til Ilden (Out of the Frying-Pan into the Fire) where the group is surrounded by HUNDREDS of Wargs who can apparently speak in a language Gandalf understands (bc of course he does lol) and they tell him they’re mad at them lol

I’m only doing two pages a day so I don’t overwhelm my brain trying to translate but it feels really easy right now and I wanna keep going cuz I love Bilbo so much lol
