Man these Vaesen creatures are lowkey freaking me out. You would not catch me within 100 miles of a Tennúr, I like my teeth thank you very much. W Spertus though, dude’s mad chill and just wants some porridge (with some blood and spit, of course!)

I can’t believe Thorkel died, man. Reading the scene where Orka killed those three nobodies in blinding rage was satisfying. But aw HECK nah, a dragon-born Tainted? I’m hella intrigued now.

As difficult as it is for me to fully grasp the new vocabulary in this book (and to be completely fair, I’ve only just started), I’m absolutely hooked and I can’t wait to see how the lives of Orka, Varg, and Elvar eventually weave together. The intrigue of politics, war, and fate only make this more exciting!!
