I have finished Inferno!! Going to take a pause and read a different book in the meantime, love the reading so far but my brain needs a breather. Hopefully something light! Also its very funny that the path from hell to purgatory is literally “climbing satan like a furry cliff”

Dante didn’t do this intentionally but describing gluttonous sinners akin to hotdogs spinning on their rollers is really funny to me…so they can be eaten by “the worm” (ceberous)

I really love how Dante makes a clear point to walk through the cowards first on his trip into hell. Saying that those who stand for nothing and no one are doomed to a miserable afterlife, filled with envy of those both in heaven and hell because at least they are given attention, while the cowards are left forgotten at the door
