Unfortunately, this read is disturbing for so many reasons. Those being the stereotype of ignorant, gender roles and the overbearing to see truth and obvious actions clouded by poor parenting. I see the emotional abuse instilled in David by Ivy & Wyatt’s arrogant parenting. I want to swing a baseball bat at them knowing what the future holds from their abusive molding of their son.

The depth of domestic abuse and chains preventing Olivia from leaving is unconceivable to some but further enhanced by the ignoring of truth and encouragement of Ivy & Wyatt. Unfortunately, it’s a fact that results in mental abuse & violence.
