This section in addition to his father and neighborhood, talks about his first discovery of a terminal, and the rapid advancement of technology near his residence. This wide area in California would eventually develop into what we now know as “Silicon Valley”. Semiconductors, transistors, germanium to silicon, Moore’s law, tons of important computer history that was crucial to Job’s eventual tech obsession.

After learning more about Steve Jobs’ adoptive parents (a term he hated) and the important values his adoptive father instilled in him, I learned more about the history of the place he came from. Notably, the simple, sleek, but affordable design of the homes in his area that would later inspire him to adopt the same design philosophy for his devices.
