And just "wtf is going on here, today?"

Even when I knew what I was getting myself into, I didn't exactly know what I was getting myself into. Sh*t or any of the 4-letter words. I mean, imagine being lied to about what you're getting into or just not knowing and then you fafo.

Kind of interesting, imo, that the main male character is infatuated with his mother, whilst the main female character is infatuated with her father. Unfortunately, I don't know enough about psychology to go too deep into it, but it makes me wonder exactly what separates people like them from those who aren't infatuated with a parent.

While I don't have enough information to confirm that Otouchan is a gambler, I feel pretty confident saying that he is a liar and perhaps a cheat, if not a petty thief. Sadly, I'm not even fully convinced that he didn't know that Oseki was being sold as a karayuki.
