I just realized how much amusement I get from seeing 'dated tech' in Sci-fi. But since this was from the Early 1980s, it's understandable. Reading it from a 2025 standpoint, it's a bit fun. Tapes and fax printouts were the more affordable tech of this early part of the 80s. Heck my house still had a rotary wall phone even then.

One's really starting to see the beginning of the outcome of what the Cyteen (and Union) actions taken at the tail end of the company wars by seeing Gehenna with colonist (lots of azi) and then just abandoning them did to both the forgotten colonist and to the ecosystem of the Gehennans (Calibans) world. I really would love to see GA take on the challenge of making this one full-cast.
