i’m sorry but not wanting to put bandages on your blistered wounded hands because you think your boss will notice you’re injured with them on AS IF LEAVING THEM OPEN AND RAW IS ANY BETTER? girl not only can he SEE you’re injured he can see HOW BADLY YOU’RE INJURED. wearing a bandage gives you some plausible deniability of the severity. seriously?? not to mention gross?? and the risk of infection??

wow the miscommunication that just occurred was so painfully avoidable and over dramatic, it just knocked an entire star off the tentative rating forming in my head for this book. a lot of this story requires suspending belief and leaning into the tropes but damn this is really hard to look past
