Like the worldbuilding is phenomenal (very thorough + bonus! it's egypt-inspired lol)
But the plot is slow and unexciting and the writing is FULL of purple prose it makes me feel disconnected from what I'm reading. Also, maybe this is a genre thing but I feel like this plotline has been done a thousand times already and it's just a bunch of recycled tropes.
I hope it gets better soon bc I'm so close to DNFing lol
