I’m starting to not like this. I’ve indulged in this happy moment, but I have the feeling something extremely bad is about to happen. Why wasn’t there any guns, but a whole lot of ammo in that bunker?

“What would you like for supper?” Asked the man. This gamble the father took not only meant survival, but restoring the faith of the child too. It paid beautifully and when he asks this, possibly for the first time, he is able to give his son options for food, not only sustenance, but to savor. Such a normal thing for us, becomes a beautifully written scene, that gives hope in an otherwise doomed world

“What if that little boy doesn’t have anybody to take care of him? What if he doesn’t have a papa?” Asked the boy who will soon be without a papa himself, yet is still innocent to this fact. It’s heartbreaking, but warming, showing us the love and safety he feels around his dad. The boy couldn’t fathom the cruelty of a world we’re a child is without one, but the father is aware his own son will live it

“She was gone and the coldness of it was her final gift”. Damn…
