This is just so silly, and not in a good way. How does it make any sense for Neema to fight a duel wielding weapons she has literally never trained with in her life?

Bad things keep happening to our protagonists, but somehow it all seems so contrived and unrealistic... Like characters are behaving in illogical ways for the sole purpose of causing Neema hardship.

Totally. I checked and the author seems to have written 4 mystery novels before this and WHAT? The jumps to logic at ignoring suspects, just because (I guess) it would be inconvenient for the plot to explore that,.
