Wondering how true it is that the idea that bats will get tangled in your hair stemmed from patriarchal controlling of women to make sure they didn’t go out after dark and some such.

Also moths are so fucking COOL. Some are completely camouflaged to bats bc of their wing scales picking up frequencies, some use their wing tails to mess with them, other just click back. That’s DOPE

Can’t go two pages without learning something new like spotted salamanders have algae in their cells and can photosynthesize and that russia tried to launch a bunch of fake moons to reflect light back to earth so they didn’t have to use street lights at night??
