Benji the little rat

I didn’t warm up to Rory for a bit the first time but upon a re-read he is nicely balanced between generic respectful love interest and flirtatiously mean love interest. Not negging but also not a complete doormat

Sybil is really fun; Sue me but I like women who talk smack in any direction they please

I did not expect the literary cumshot 🙈 Ms Gillig!!!!

!!!! oh he’s a freak!!

God I love a pathetic, pining man

this is actually making me lol, I love the gargoyle so much

their banter is very cute. usually I’m unimpressed by white people “enemies” to lovers but this isn’t bad
