The dystopia is starting to feel heavier, I can't help but feel sorry for the kids. I guess I can understand both sides, but it's still so utterly depressing...

I don't know why Kathy stayed friends with a person like Ruth all that time. I know that unfortunately I'm the type of person who sticks with whatever friend I can manage to make irl, something something I need to survive, but gosh I don't think I would have managed to stay by Ruth's side this whole time.

I love to read parts that focus on Tommy, I'm quite fond of his younger version, but specifically I like reading these chapters from when they stayed at the Cottages because I can visualize Andrew Garfield in my mind. I can see his expressions, feel his movements, hear his voice. I'm really enjoying this book, more than I had imagined, and I can't wait to watch the movie again once I'm done with it. I yearn for it.
