i’m inconsolable.

“…Mr. Raffles was what he was because he loved danger and adventure, and that you [Bunny] were what you were because you loved Mr. Raffles.”

so sad there is little analysis on raffles cause i’m ready to write a whole essay on raffles’s smoking habit, specifically sullivan’s cigarettes and what it represents in relation to his thievery and influence over bunny.

there’s a couple articles i found tho, including “The A. J. Raffles Stories Reconsidered: Fall of the Gentleman Ideal”and one about “A. J. Raffles and the Burglar as British Icon.”
