Sam and Rick get into another adventure. She is hired for a security job in New York only to find her father is part of the plot. She is totally legit now but the statutes on her previous life still have 5 yrs till they run out and she can't be prosecuted.

Great series! I wish this author would write more books like this instead of historical genre. This is romantic suspense with humor, intrigue and well done recurring side characters. The main couple Rick and Sam are so charming and hot together. It is difficult to find couples in a series that keep my interest... they are a bit like Marie Force's Fatal series but a lighter.

Rick follows her to the city as he wants to keep an eye out so she doesn't end up in jail like the last time her father threw her under the bus to save his own hide. Great series the last book came out in 2018 but this is supposed to take place about 6 weeks later so takes up where the last one left off.
