While the search is going on Mason volunteers to be spokesperson for the family to take pressure off them. He meets FBI agent Ava who is smart, confident and assigned to imbed herself with the family during the crisis. Meanwhile Mason gets a call from his partner in Portland and it sure appears someone is setting him up for the murder of the informant. Evidence is appearing that he knows is not true.

Detective Mason Callahan finds one of his informants dead, he thought she was getting her life together but someone brutally murdered her. Then he gets a call from his ex wife that her 11 yr old step daughter (from her new husband) is missing. He takes time off to hopefully find the daughter but it appears she was taken on her way to school. His son is home from college and staying with the ex.

Almost half way through this and still not sure what is going on. Emily's father was hanged when she was a child. She and her younger sister Madison and older sister Tara went to live with great aunts however Tara ran away after the father's death and no one has seen or heard from her in 20 yrs. Now another man has been found hanged and the FBI come to investigate. Something is rotten in this small town.

Cute rom com with quirky runaway bride heroine and older hero. They meet for the second time while she is on her honeymoon alone in Florida. He is so sweet in many ways and a solid guy while she is young and kind of crazy but it suits her. He needs some crazy and sparkle in his life, he just doesn't know it.

Oh boy is she wrong. The fiance cleans out their accounts due to bad financial choices and she doesn't find out till night before the wedding. She powers on till on the wedding day she finds him with a hooker. Then she loses it and runs off to a bar, gets drunk and meets a nice older guy who watches out for her and takes her home to sleep it off - strictly platonic. Unknown to her this guy knows her older brother.

New to me author she is really quite funny. Rom com with characters that have depth and so far very entertaining. Stella wanted to get married as all her friend were so she accepts the first guy who asks. She knows he is boring but thinks this will get her a stable HEA,

Cute and funny plot with Brandi the lawyer falling for her client who is a sexy Italian jewel thief - allegedly. When she met him she didn't know he'd be her client and now he may be involved in a heist while she is supposed to be watching him! He has fallen for her and promises to go straight or will he? When she wakes up and finds him gone she decides she is tired of being lied to and makes a plan.

Abby reaches out to her mystery father for help in finding out who is trying to kill her and what happened to her neighbor's son. He denies knowing but?? He is lying about something. Meanwhile the neighbor boy Derek who was put in foster care, ran away and has been kidnapped by the killer?

Abby is relieved that the person who kidnapped her 3 yrs ago is now dead but then who is still trying to kill her?

re-reading this as it was a a great series and it is now on kindle unlimited.

Abby finds out she was drugged and pushed into the icy river to die. She also finds out the man who attacked her 3 yrs ago has been released from prison due to a technicality, is he after her again? Meanwhile Ryland a mysterious rich businessman is sending a killer after her. Officer Ethan who pulled her from the river realizes there is more going on than Abby told him.

Leo wants to solve the murder of a shop clerk especially since her best friend has taken a job working undercover at the same store. She hates her friend working for a detective agency as much as Jasper hates when Leo gets involved. Plus the daughter of the woman who left them a home in her will has been murdered but who did this?

Leo is torn between following her desire to investigate the murder of her coworker's ex fiance and Jasper's wishes to stay out of it. Jasper wants to court her formally and she wants it too but possibly not if it means she has to sideline her investigations. With her photographic memory she can't resist wanting to solve this murder and the mystery of the house that was left to her and Jasper.

Again this is going to the shelf as I just can't get into it. I really liked the first book but this one is just not clicking with me.

Love this series so much, really was torn at the ending of the previous book as I could see no long term future for the pair. This time Leo and Jasper have been separated for a few months as he was sent to work in Liverpool. They are called together for the reading of a will of Jasper's adopted father's sister in law. She speaks from the grave asking them to look into the death of her son 12yrs ago.

In relistening to this I am struck by how much it reminds me of some of Susan Elizabeth Phillips books. I never got this before but it has the heart, family and slow build true love you see in many of her books. This series Sinful Montana books 1, 2 and 4 are some of my favorites with lots of humor and characters that feel real.

This is a re-listen as it has great characters with lots of depth and plot. The narration is excellent.

Rachel comes home to small town where she was raised after inheriting her grandfather's farm. She was professional rider/olympic quality till a fall nearly killed her. Now someone is trying to terrorize her with vandalism. When she meets the local sheriff there is instant connection but he doesn't get involved in personal issues with people who contact his police department.

Brandi hocks the ring and blows it on a great hotel, designer dress and goes to the party HE was supposed to take her too to find a stunning one night stand to do something for herself. Well she finds him alright, a fabulously gorgeous Italian count. She spends the weekend with him only to show up at the new job on Monday morning to find he is a CLIENT accused of being a jewel thief!

Brandi moved to Chicago as that is where her fiance is doing his medical residence only to have him call her from Vegas to say he's married!!! To his side piece who he go pregnant and blame it on Brandi, in his mind if she had moved to Chicago sooner this wouldn't have happened - yeah a real jerk. Now she has a job lined up, a frozen apartment, frozen pipes, no water and he wants his engagement ring back?

Tessa and Logan investigate the background of the college student found murdered in the woods. She was working for the summer at a whale watching business but no one asked any questions when she stopped showing up. The business owner has a temper and likes college girls according to his ex wife.
