So happy to get another story from the quirky inhabitants of Rocky Start! A flood has come and isolated the town so all the inhabitants can't go back for at least a month. During this time Rose decides to go visit Poppy in New York, and Max who is at wit's end decides to finish his hike of the Appalachian trail. Love these characters, the growth, humanity and dry humor.

New to me author. So far this is exciting adventure story with danger and international espionage. Former Navy seals get hired to do a deep dive to recover dangerous chemical agents from a failed CIA mission.

After Mollie gets a threatening phone call she reaches out to reporter Jeremiah who she still has feelings for even tho he dumped her 10 yrs ago. On his part he explains that he did it for her good so she would go back to Boston and pursue her life as she was only 20 and he was totally unsuitable for her. Now the mystery is why is anyone interested in her? Why the jewel thief in particular has her in his sights?

Michael the pirate has a double life. In London he is the feared pirate but he has a home in Scotland that is hidden where everyone knows him as a ship builder. He brings the widow Silence Hollingbrook who he wants to protect and keep as his own along with his baby daughter only to find his most trusted man has betrayed him.

Jeremiah's contact tells him that somehow Mollie is involved in the cat burglar thefts. She says she doesn't know anything about it and still holds a grudge against him for dumping her 10 yrs ago. When she attends a charity function she is attacked and her expensive jewel necklace it ripped from her throat. Is she again a danger magnet and unwitting pawn?

Lots of period detail with smart inventor heroine, daughter of a baron who invents life like automatons. When someone is killed with the metal arm of her creation she is accused of murder as no one trusts a woman in business. Mr. Niall Kier a blacksmith inventor is the only one who knows she is innocent.

A pirate with a heart? He grew up on the streets and is now one of the most feared men in London. He doesn't want to have a soft spot for the widow Silence Hollingbrook who is his opposite in every way. She however is taking care of his child who he left at her orphanage.

Well written suspense plot with interesting characters that have a past, that mystery is slowly unveiled with lots of twists.

Lots of insta lust and alpha protectiveness on the part of MC but will he be able to face his past or walk away?

Mystery and suspense starts out fast with a murder in the past then jumping to the present with 2 divers finding a body in an underwater wreck.

Having a hard time finishing this one. For some reason I've kind of lost interest.

Lots of steam and suspense with Savanna a military widow getting pulled into danger by her dead husband's brother. When a team is assigned to protect her, Griffin, a 20yr vet recently employed by contract security company can't stay away from her. He knows she lost her husband and doesn't want to lead her on but still wants her.

New to me author, this historical mystery has interesting components of the early days of automation. Women are still kept out of business so the main character Miss Kara Levett is looked on oddly. An educated woman of means with no father or husband is just not done.

Great mystery, suspense series with enjoyable characters and lots of action in a short novella. Highly recommend.

Really good suspense series of novellas. I really like them and the mystery and characters.
