I guess I am spoiled as have been reading Melinda Leigh series with characters that are so likeable not just sex driven and there is a plot I can get into. So far I don't like any of these people and their dark brooding lives.

Brandy decides she is going to investigate the corruption despite the danger. She has help from Nick hot gym owner from the wrong side of the tracks. Her ex Bobby keeps hanging around and warning her off and makes it clear he is still crazy about her despite being married/his wife left him and took his baby daughter.

Just started this and am already not happy with it. The beginning was good when it explained how MMC girlfriend was killed and why he quit the police department. Then it forwards to 5 years later and I start to lose interest.

Morgan and Lance are helping Sharp to find out what happened to his friend Olivia. She is a crime reporter and is missing. The more they investigate they become sure someone has kidnapped her. Could it be about the book she is currently writing?

Re-read as my review is missing? Or I didn't write one lol. I like this series so just relistening as I bought it years ago and it's in my audible library. Grace who goes by Isabelle just graduated college with degree in history although her first love is music. She gets together for one last time with her friends before they all go their separate ways she sings in a club and it goes viral.

Very Stephanie Plum type mystery. Brandy Alexander returns to Philly for her friends wedding. Brandy lives in L.A. now and is a mostly fluff reporter. When she comes home she sees her ex boyfriend Bobby the cop (ver much like Morelli) who is now married and all her friends from the neighborhood. She gets involved with possible corruption hires a guy (very much like Ranger) to help her find out info.

Funny story with the same wacky town and hot hillbilly guys. This is the last book in the Wild series and slow going as not really in the mood for this. It is cold and gray in the real world right now, raining, foggy and freezing so am feeling more dark mystery than humor. So may backburner this on for a bit.

Read book 1 & 2 a long time ago and found this in my kindle unread. I wanted to get to it before I forget the whole town and plot. This is wild and crazy hillbilly type town and this book has 2 sisters from the city coming down to deal with their grandmother's cabin. They didn't even know they had this grandmother and have no idea how this place works. Is everyone crazy? Dangerous? or??

Morgan is involved with her private practice and Lance finds out that his father's (who disappeared 23 yrs ago) car has been pulled from the lake with a body in the trunk. Everyone assumes the bones are his father's but are they?

Charlotte lives in a 55 and older community even tho she is only 28. She was grandfathered in when he mom and grandma died and the rest of the place watched out for her. She feels restless and when she decides to clean the yard and try gardening she finds a skull in her yard.

Harper is attacked in the churchyard and wakes up dumped in the swamp area with a gator watching her. She manages to hold on till she is recuted. Dare is getting close to finding out who is behind the liquor poisonings at the resort while avoiding the predatory attentions of the female resort manager who is the daughter of a drug lord.

Meanwhile a man breaks into Morgan's house at night and grabs her youngest daughter. Morgan wakes up and the man says he is taking her and her daughter. Is it the killer or someone else her investigations have disturbed? Her elderly dad scares the man off but is injured so Lance takes the nanny and girls to his place so Morgan and her sister can stay at the hospital with her dad.

After Chelsea escapes the killer, she is found on the side of the road and taken to the hospital. They killer is enraged and vows to get her back, or kill her.

This book is a lot creepier than the first one. The killer/kidnapper has his own chapters where we follow him plan his sick, evil deeds. Morgan and Lance are working on finding a missing young mother who unknown to them IS the current victim of killer. This victim was ripped from her family and was breastfeeding her youngest, I shudder to think of the pain both mental and physical being inflicted by this evil monster

Started this a long time ago and quit part way in as it just wasn't as funny as the first book. Now I have gone back to it and again am stalling out as it is dragging and the characters are not as charming and cute as the first book. Will continue for a bit longer maybe if I skip ahead it will get better?

Dare the ATF agent has finished his course at the Kentucky facility run by the Davies brothers. Marcie Davies con's him into a blind date with her grand-niece Harper who owns the local bar. This ends up with her helping him getting a in with the management when she orders some liquor from their distributor. The case involves assaults, murder and druggings at a resort island.

Just having such a hard time with this one. I generally love this author but this book seems different and so far not a solid plot I can follow. Perhaps it is laying down a backstory that will meld into something solid?
