I didn’t think I would get so immersed in this. Lucy is stubborn but craves love and belonging (but also pushes it away when the opportunity arises). She puts up so many walls and is ignorant of how much people care for her…(also is racist and prejudiced as expected). Can’t tell if I want her and graham to be friends or lovers. But I’m trying to not hard ship bc charlotte does some wack things with romance.

Bro Polly and the count’s privilege is making me livid. “Poor Lucy, I thought she was a rich lady and had rich friends” and her dad replying “I never did” is actually foul. Not being able to FATHOM working in order to keep a roof over her head is actually so ignorant and entitled. Polly being upset that Lucy had a job and NOT for “philanthropy”. Lucy is already being bullied by her colleague and is depressed and anxious and insecure about what people think about her and her status give her a break
