What makes a feminist retelling? If it’s putting a female character front and centre then this is it. If it’s showcasing their strength… I don’t know if this is it. Rather it has me feeling not just sympathy and empathy towards Hera, but pity. It’s definitely a different way of reading her than I’ve come across before.
