This has the potential to be so much better if the FMC would be more likable and would stop making stupid decisions. You can’t make decisions and then cry about the consequences of your actions, only to turn around and make more stupid decisions.
The whole blunder over food with the sister was so stupid and the scene evolved out of nowhere. And now FMC is about to do the dumbest thing ever I can’t believe this

I’ve taken a break but I’m actually still not over her stupidity. After everything blew up in your face like it did WHY ON EARTH would you go out to a party with a man you barely know. This isn’t about the loneliness aspect anymore and FMC hasn’t been known to run away from her problems. This is so STUPID.

Is it a ground rule in urban/adult fantasy that there’s gotta be vulgarity?? Why is the FMC dropping curse words in every sentence even when it’s not befitting?
Clam down. No one actually talks like that in real life. It’s so exhausting to read and lowers the quality of a book immensely
