Otherwise, I did enjoy the story, characters, and banter, as always. And only wished we'd gotten more info about the dragon's reactions, and had more time to get to know Zav's Uncle, he seemed great.

Although the relationship was cute, and the acceptance was refreshing, the fade to black really threw off the pacing, and my enjoyment of the story. Jumping straight from expectant spice to stealthing, and fighting scenes was jarring, and just felt wrong, and did lead me to purposefully put the book down even though I had finally found the time not to.

The typical funny, adventurous, action-packed read that I now expect from this series. I don't have a ton of reading time these days, so this took way longer to read than it should have. A bit of that blame does have to go to a decreased level of mystery, and romantic tension.
