Oldman_JE Average lifespan for a hawk is <=20. Old hawks in captivity can live to 30. That thing is practically prehistoric.

Oldman_JE Or is the Hawk a person's name? Then the blinking can commence.

Oldman_JE The Lynx wears jade, the Goat wears blue stone. That doesn't seem fair his stone doesn't have a name. Maybe it's just me.

The Hawk's rocking the black metal, though, at least.

Debut author! He missed the chance to say Lapis lazuli stone instead of blue. He could learn a thing or two from his ancient readers. *sigh *blink

Oldman_JE And one day later I come across this line in my reading:

Far above him and to the east the sunlight burned upon a long oval window of blue glass. It blazed like lazuli – like a gem hung aloft against the grey walls.
