Chapter 2 offers a more varied and insightful exploration through its analysis of three profound literary works. I especially appreciated the psychoanalytic perspective the author introduced, and how her critique of the texts was presented objectively and supported by credible examples.

The author claims are valid,yet in chapter1 ,her claim seems a bit far reaching and of a stretch, as she uses the term Harem to describe and extend it to beyond it intended meaning,while I applaud for her efforts to Arabize a foreign term, however, in this case it is more of a concept rather than a term
The point she is trying to make is clear,and she tries to unpack it through Fatema Mernissi's Dreams of Trespass
