I forgot how early Sevro finds out the truth and chooses to become a revolutionary. That scene was so fucking fire they have one of my favorite friendships I've ever experienced.

Slowing down on listening to this because I'm reading the current series but the action in this book was fucking unreal.

I actually can't believe just how much of this book I forgot. Maybe like the middle 70% of it. It's so damn fire.

It's genuinely crazy how much better this book is than the first one, which was a great fucking book! Dare I say a PERFECT sequel? Dare I say my glorious, beautiful, illustrious king DARROW is my favorite character EVER.

im a little scared the themes are going to veer towards demonizing violent rebellion but ngl the reveal i just got invigorated me just as much as darrow and the way it was written put the evil in context in a powerful way. This mf tuff, very intrigued where this is going.

explosive first few chapters but im not sure i like en medias res action to start but it’s quick enough to get through. The twist i just read subverted my expectations pretty hard and now im excited to see where this goes
